Critical Care Airways Workshop

Critical Care Airways Workshop
This workshop will offer the very best in terms of speakers, practices and equipment to any clinician hoping for new skills or refreshing existing ones.

The Airways Pre-Congress Workshop has been devised specifically for a wide range of clinicians, from trainees embarking on their first rotation of managing 30 beds, to experienced clinicians keen to refresh their knowledge of the latest airways practices. The course has been tailored to intensive care and critical care practice and will be led by Drs, Andy Higgs (Warrington) and Linda-Jayne Mottram (Belfast).

Covering both the theoretical and the practical, the morning will include talks from expert speakers, covering topics from how Covid has affected physiology to oesophageal intubation and management of threatened airways.

The afternoon will be completely hands-on skills development. There will be 8 airways stations run by experienced faculty from around Europe to demonstrate the very latest equipment and practices, such as in peri-intubation, ultrasound and video laryngoscopy.  Each small group of delegates will rotate between all stations to gain experience and practise their skills under guided supervision.

Cost: £250 members; £350 non-members
