This seminar gave an update on latest data on pathophysiology and evidence-based management of severe acute kidney injury in critically ill patients in general and in specific high risk populations.  An update was given on the current state of new biomarkers for AKI, and practical advice was provided on the management of renal replacement therapy.  Delegates who attended this course gained useful recommendations on how to manage critically ill patients with AKI in daily practice.
