ACCEA 2012

Advisory Committee on Clinical Excellence Awards (ACCEA) The Intensive Care Society must emphasise that the 2012 process is subject to change pending the outcome of the DDRB Review which is expected to report to Ministers in July 2011.

ACCEA has advised that it is currently working on the basis that the 2012 Round will be proceeding as normal. It expects the online system to open in September/October 2011 and to close in December; the most likely date for the closing deadline is Friday 9 December. This timetable is however approximate and may be subject to change depending on the result of the DDRB Review.

2011 Round

ACCEA usually aims to notify successful candidates and publish the list of names on its website in the summer. Ministers have indicated that they wish to delay their decision of new awards and renewal applications while they consider the report from the DDRB of its Review. Therefore, ACCEA will announce the results of the 2011 round in the Autumn at the same time as the Government’s response to the DDRB review is made available.
