The goal of the committee is to improve our dialog with the trainee members of the Society. We sit on all committees within the Society and several outside. It is important that we are able to express your views and not just our own. If there are any issues that you think should be raised about your training, the role of the society, the organisation of the meetings then please tell us. If you have questions relating to any aspects of the Society or our roles below then we may be able to help, or at least know who to ask for you.
If it is not clear to whom your opinions or queries should be addressed then please email the Chairman.

Chris Booth |
I am a Specialist Registrar in Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesia currently in my final year of training in the North Western Deanery. I have been a member of the ICS trainee committee since 2009 and was elected as the chair in 2010. I represent trainees on the ICS council. I am a founding board member of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine and sit on the FICM Training and Assessment Committee. I have previously been a member of the Intercollegiate Committee for ACCS Training. I have a special interest in Education and Training and have recently completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Workplace Based Medical Education. My other areas of interest include quality improvement and management. | |

At work my particular interests are renal replacement therapy and critical scenario SimMan training. Although my rugby career has retired to the sidelines I am still a passionate and an ever-hopeful supporter of Sale Sharks. |

Clinically my interests are in burns and trauma surgery and the ICM associated with these areas. I have an interest in management and have previously represented junior anaesthetists at a local level. When not in the lab, theatre or ICU I play golf badly and climb slowly. |

I am a year 5 specialist registrar training in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine and hope to specialise in cardiothoracics. Somewhat of an echo enthusiast, I am certified in transoesphageal echocardiography and am now studying for my BSE transthoracic exams. I am interested in the growing use of TTE in the critically ill London Prepare to Lead Scheme I feel that it is essential for all clinicians to have a greater understanding of the NHS and to be actively involved in determining its future. When I have time I like to run. |

| Paul Hunt | I'm a full-time military doctor (Army) from an Emergency Medicine background currently going into my Advanced ICM training year in the Northern Deanery. I have clinical interests in major trauma and head injury, as well as education and research. I completed my MD at the University of London in 2012 and am undertaking the Dip Med Ed over the next few years. I'm married to an anaesthetic trainee and we have two young sons. |
