Ultrasound in Critical Care II

This interactive course is aimed at all medical professionals involved in critical care medicine who want to develop skills in Ultrasound and Transthoracic Echocardiography. Point-of-care ultrasound is increasingly acknowledged as a valuable tool for rapid and effective decision making, enhancing triage, diagnosis, therapy, monitoring, and follow up of the critically ill or injured patient.
The workshop represents the first step (Basic, Level 1) to gain competence in Critical Care Ultrasound accordingly to WINFOCUS Ultrasound Life Support training protocols.

The meeting will have a focus topic of major relevance both for neurologists and intensivists - Sepsis and ICS Encephalopathy - and we are delighted to have a world leader in Wes Ely from Nashville and members of his team to report on their current research. We will be covering topics in Acute and Intensive Care Neurology and a panel of world experts from the UK and USA will present review lectures.
