Intensive Care Foundation
Our research arm, the Intensive Care Foundation, has pioneered UK critical care research for over ten years. We research a wide range of acute medical conditions that are treated in ICUs. We have a methodical, established and successful model of allocating our income.
of UK critical care research is coordinated by us
The ICF Directors of Research are involved with over 20 current or recently completed studies.
They are some of the highest regarded professionals within critical care, and their role is to identify, administer and execute research undertaken by us.
We award grants to encourage or pump-prime ICU research. The quality of the research projects we have directly funded has contributed to three Directors of Research achieving professorships in their own academic institutions. Over the last two years, we have awarded over £200,000.
Our journal is published 4 times annually and contains cutting edge research from the UK and overseas.
